Livestock Arrive Alive Guarantee
Archetype offers an arrive alive guarantee. If your order doesn’t arrive alive we will offer a full store credit on livestock. Archetype does not credit for shipping costs. We require you to photograph the box before and after opening the box and to take photos of the livestock in and out of the bag. If the livestock is dead or damaged due to shipping, we will work with you and FedEx to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please send an email to email@example.com.
Livestock 7 Day Guarantee
If your order doesn’t survive the 7-day period in an established quarantine tank with proper filtration and lighting, we’ll give you a full store credit on livestock. Archetype does not credit for shipping costs. Individual livestock valued at $200 or more is not eligible for this guarantee. In addition, special orders are not guaranteed. We require you to photograph the box before and after opening the box and to take photos of the livestock in and out of the bag.
In addition, you will need to fill out a form to let us know your tank details and inhabitants. This will allow us to access the cause of death and determine if it’s due to ill livestock or your system. Livestock that is not placed within a quarantine tank is not eligible for a refund. What is Quarantine?
Quarantine is the process of isolating livestock in a separate system in an effort to observe it's health and eating habits. This gives you the chance to avoid exposing your main aquarium to possible disease or parasites that any new animal may have. It also allows the animal to adjust to your feeding schedule and food by itself without being intimidated by established residents.
We recommend quarantining all new livestock whether it be from us or anyone else for a period of at least 2-3 weeks. Our systems are disease free and we take every measure to monitor and treat livestock before being sold. Archetype quarantines for 2 weeks before being sold or fragged. Special order items are not guaranteed and will not be held for the same QT period that our normal stock is. Archetype is not responsible for problems that may occur after you take possession. While we treat and monitor new stock before it’s sold, we cannot eliminate every possible problem that livestock may encounter. For this reason we recommend quarantining the livestock before placing it in your display tank.
We will source special orders at your request. Please send an email to email@example.com with what you're looking for. Once located, we'll require a 100% deposit. If the livestock arrive dead or injured, you will get a full refund. A full deposit is required for special order equipment as well. If the item arrives damaged we will refund you the full amount. Livestock Return Policy
We do not offer returns on livestock for any reason. Non-WYSIWG livestock are usually approximated in regards to color and size. However, if you are unsatisfied with a non-WYSIWG livestock, we’ll offer a partial store credit in exchange for the livestock. Shipping will be at the customer’s expense. Save your box! You can use it to return the livestock.
Dry Goods Return Policy
If for any reason you're unhappy with a purchase, unopened items can be returned for a full refund including the original shipping cost. Shipping the return however, will be at the customer’s expense. Save your box! You can use it to return the order. Opened or used items such as food, chemicals, glues or cleaners are not eligible for return. Items such as skimmers, lighting or tanks that aren’t performing to your expectations are eligible for returns for up to 14 days. Special orders do not qualify for our return policy. Please do diligent research before selecting merchandise to ensure fit and performance. If equipment such as skimmers or lighting are not working correctly, please contact the manufacturer directly. If the item is damaged due to shipping we will work with you and FedEx to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
